It’s an interesting thing in that when you’re an employee in the 9-5 work world 8 to 9 times out of 10 you are paid for the number of hours you put into the job.

This mindset unfortunately follows a lot of folks when they are looking to transition from the corporate world to the world of entrepreneurship and this is why you see folks expecting to be paid commensurate with the number of hours they put into whichever business they are looking to build.

This type of thinking is in direct opposition of how things actually work since the fact of the matter is that as entrepreneurs we are paid according to the value that we bring the marketplace and not the hours we put in on a daily basis.the value you bring

That’s why it’s so important for the entrepreneur to work on their self-development… developing not only their mindset but also their skill sets on a daily basis.

Focus in on your Income Producing Activities (IPA’s) so that you can knock them out as quickly as possible…

Pick up skills that enable you to leverage your time so that your business can be growing daily…

Just to name a few….

Whichever one you choose make sure that you keep at that particular skill set long enough for it to pay you… well.

Once you are actually making money with it… add another one to the mix.
